Phoebe Reid Boyd

2025 Whipple Writing Fellow

Phoebe Reid Boyd ‘27 is an animal lover, theater kid, and outdoor enthusiast who has recently discovered a passion for writing. Growing up in libraries, she fostered an early love of reading that taught her how to be curious and engage with the world around her. Through her summers spent in Maine with family, she learned an appreciation for the natural world and the value of getting your hands a little dirty. Recently, she has discovered the joys of channeling curiosity through writing. She loves exploring the social and cultural topics she is passionate about through school research papers and essays, and has been recognised twice for excellence in writing through the Curtin Prize. When not in school, she can be found at a rehearsal or an exec board meeting for the BHS drama society, cleaning paddocks at Unity Farm Sanctuary, or crocheting at home with her dog Maurice.
