Selena Charbonneau, Class of 2027, is co-president of the Medical Missions Club, captain of the BHS varsity ice hockey team, and a member of the track team. She enjoys reading, biking around with friends, traveling, and watching movies whenever she can. As the middle of four sisters, she spends a lot of time hanging out with them and loves playing in her backyard with her dogs, Cider and Mercury.

Hannah Li, Class of 2029, started her writing journey with a borderline obsessive love of reading. In second grade, she discovered that she loved books, and then that these books seemed to connect to words on a paper. Since then, she has extended her love of writing to both nonfiction and fiction pieces and hopes to find more time to write. Outside of writing, you can find her on a boba run with friends, playing Roblox, or baking.

Jeffrey Dong, Class of 2027, has always seen writing as a way of looking at the world around him. For him, that world means playing soccer, watching movies, spending time with friends, and going on walks with his golden retriever, Milo. Filling in the gaps are evenings spent chasing new ideas and late nights humming along to Zach Bryan and Sam Barber. Whatever he ends up pursuing, he hopes to keep putting pen to paper.

Diego Liteplo is a member of the Class of 2028. He is actively involved in the BHS legislature and student council, and plays on the school’s soccer team. Outside of school, he enjoys playing the guitar, cooking with his family, and spending time with friends. He is also a writer for The Cypress, where he discovered his passion for writing.

Liv Klawiter, Class of 2027, is a two-season athlete and also plays the cello. In her free time, she likes being outside, listening to music, and finding creative ways to express herself. She has been writing since a very young age and dreams of one day publishing her own novels. Liv hopes to use her work to connect with others, give voice to overlooked stories, and create meaningful change through art.

Amelia Lo Proto is a member of the class of 2029. She is a curious student who loves to dance, read, and write. In her free time, you can find her at her dance studio, or hanging out with her friends. She loves to walk and explore new places around Boston, and loves spontaneous side quests. Amelia is close with her family and friends, and loves meeting new people! Through her time in the Whipple Program, she is excited to learn how to tell her own story and share it with others.
