Caden Imura
2026 Whipple Writing Fellow

Caden Imura ‘27 spends time during the warm seasons playing golf with his dad or friends on the Varsity Golf team. His cold winters are spent snowboarding in Vermont. Every week, he volunteers at the local Brookline Food Pantry, where he loves making many new connections with his peers and the Brookline community. Although he’s no Van Gogh, he likes to paint and draw during his free time and in painting class. Caden has also worked the past few summers at Cafe Sushi, a family-owned sushi restaurant in Harvard Square. The books he’s read in English classes have sparked his appreciation for formal writing, and his love for history further helps him put pen to paper. His experience working with his parents at his restaurant and love for Asian food have made him interested in the larger community of Asian American businesses in the country and how universal their experiences are.
