Adithi Jayashankar
2025 Whipple Writing Fellow

Adithi Jayashankar ‘26 started writing during the COVID19 pandemic, during which she found fictional worlds much more interesting than the one she was living in. Fast forward six years, and she still loves to write. She explores all sorts of mediums; from historical research projects and original speeches to articles for the Cypress and argumentative essays, Adithi loves all things words. She’s thrilled to be a Whipple Fellow and is researching multigenerational living in different parts of the world and its relation to the American housing crisis. Outside of writing, Adithi is a student representative on Student Council, Legislature, and the Brookline School Committee. She’s also a member of the Brookline High School Varsity Squash Team and the Speech Team.
